American Regions Mathematics League (ARML)

To encourage and increase the participation of Charlotte students in ARML, Team Charlotte will participate in ARML 2025 as one of the three North Carolina teams. 

• Team Charlotte will be led by Tao Hong, with assistance from Harold Reiter; 

• Team Charlotte will recruit students within the North Carolina state borderline;

• Team Charlotte plans to host one team practice per month at Telra Institute; 

• Team Charlotte practices prior to October 31, 2024 will be open to all NC students;

• Any student who is interested in joining Team Charlotte, as a team member, alternate, or practice player, should send a commitment letter to Dr. Tao Hong on or prior to October 31, 2024. The students who have committed to Team Charlotte will not be invited by the other two North Carolina teams; 

• After October 31, 2024, Team Charlotte practices will be by invitation only;

• For the 2024-2025 academic year, Team Charlotte is looking for AIME qualifiers (or equivalent) to join the team.

• Stanford Math Tournament (SMT)

• Berkeley Math Tournament (BMT)

About Team Charlotte

Established in 2024, Team Charlotte is a mathematics team in Charlotte, NC. Team Charlotte is open to all NC students who are interested in high school math competitions at the national level.
